Areas worth comparing

What to compare in Mijas Costa.

La Cala de Mijas

The centre of the area and its best-known quarter. Beach with chiringuitos, a promenade, restaurants and local services within walking distance. This is where Mijas Costa's life concentrates.

Riviera del Sol and Calahonda

The eastern stretch, closer to Fuengirola. Urbanisations on gentle hills, newer construction and easy access to beaches and to the rail line in neighbouring Fuengirola.

Golf courses and hills

The interior of the municipality, where golf and greenery shape the landscape. Quieter urbanisations with sea and mountain views, popular with buyers seeking privacy.

Mijas Pueblo

The white mountain town high above the coast — a different world entirely. Narrow streets, Andalusian character and views across the whole coast.

Selected development

The Kove, Mijas Costa.

The Kove is a new development on Mijas Costa, in the La Cala de Mijas area, combining access to the beach and daily services with the calm of an urbanisation on a gentle hill.

It is one of two projects we run in the municipality of Mijas. The other is Altos del Chaparral, closer to the golf courses towards Mijas Pueblo. The two differ in character, and we are happy to show both in one visit.

Questions buyers ask.

What is the difference between Mijas Costa and Mijas Pueblo?

Mijas Costa is the coastal strip with La Cala de Mijas — beaches, newer urbanisations and a typical resort with sea access. Mijas Pueblo is a white mountain town high above the coast, with a very different character and microclimate. Most buyers want Mijas Costa.

Do I need a car in Mijas Costa?

In La Cala de Mijas most errands are walkable. Beyond it the urbanisations are spread along the coast and a car is more convenient between them. That is a real difference from Fuengirola.

What do properties cost in Mijas Costa?

We have two projects in Mijas: The Kove from €359,000 and Altos del Chaparral from €298,000. “From” prices do not confirm availability of a specific unit — we confirm the current price individually.

Is Mijas Costa good for rental?

Strong demand and La Cala de Mijas's developing infrastructure favour rental, though the scale depends on the individual property, seasonality and costs.
