What happens after the deed is signed and how to prepare the property for living in.
Handover begins with signing the notarial deed (Escritura Pública de Compraventa). The document is executed before a notary and then registered. Keys are handed over after signing.
Before signing it is worth reviewing the documents with the law firm and confirming that everything agreed in the contract has been met. We coordinate this stage with the partner firm.
After the keys are handed over comes the transfer or opening of utilities and services: electricity, water, waste and internet. This is also when records and local taxes are updated.
Timelines depend on the suppliers and the municipality, so we do not publish fixed windows. We help organise the order of steps and point to what to handle first.
Many properties need small works before living in them: finishing, furnishing or preparing for rental. We work with a partner responsible for interiors and coordinate that scope.
If you are buying for investment, at this stage we connect you with partner agencies that handle rental management.

Yes. We connect you with partner agencies that handle rental management — management is provided by those agencies, not by Vesta.
