Good to Know

Visitor guide.

How to plan a viewing trip that actually helps you decide — and what to see while you are here.

Plan the trip around decisions.

A viewing trip works best when it is built around decisions rather than around a list of properties. Before you travel, work out which two or three towns you are genuinely choosing between, and what you need to see to settle the question.

We recommend at least three days. That is enough to see a handful of properties properly, walk the areas, and see how a place feels in the evening rather than only at noon.

What to look at beyond the property.

Look at the commute to the airport, the walk to the beach, the nearest supermarket and health centre, and the condition of neighbouring buildings. These are the details that decide whether a place works for daily life, and they are invisible in a listing.

If you are considering rental, look at how the area behaves out of season. Occupancy in August says little about occupancy in January, and seasonality is where rental projections usually fail.

Practical matters.

Bring your identity documents for anything that needs to be done on the ground, and allow time for a conversation with the law firm and the finance partner if either is relevant to your purchase.

We organise the schedule and the site visits. Transport between towns is normally by car, and we plan the route so you spend your time looking rather than driving.

Questions buyers ask.

How long should a viewing trip be?

We recommend at least three days. That allows you to see several properties properly, walk the areas and see how they feel at different times of day.

What should I bring?

Identity documents for anything handled on the ground, and time for a conversation with the law firm or finance partner if those are relevant to your purchase.

Do you arrange transport?

We plan the route between towns and the schedule of visits. We can also coordinate concierge arrangements such as hotel booking, car hire and airport transfers.

Should I visit out of season?

Yes, at least once. A resort in August feels very different from the same town in January, and for a permanent move that difference matters.
